The Grove is one of my favorite places to photograph a wedding! I was thrilled that Wendy and Donnie selected this venue for their wedding because the property is so beautiful. It’s like a small oasis tucked away in North Las Vegas. Wendy looked absolutely stunning in a unique, off-the-shoulder dress. She looked like a princess! My favorite part of the evening was when Donnie teared up the minute he saw his bride walk down the aisle.
Because of my Filipino heritage, I’m very familiar with “coming-of-age” or “right-of-passage” ceremonies in the form of Filipino “Debuts” for a girl’s 18th birthday. While capturing the moments of this fun and festive quinceañera (15th birthday), I saw some similarities, but not much. I loved Jacqueline’s Minnie Mouse quinceañera theme. Her black and pink dress tied very well with all the decorations. Although Jacqueline’s 15th birthday celebrated her transition from childhood to young womanhood, the Minnie Mouse decorations highlighted her youthfulness. The most notable events were the father-daughter dance, presenting a doll wearing a matching dress, switching from casual shoes […]
It was nice taking a break from my usual job duties at the UNLV Foundation to take pictures of these student workers who represents the Rebel Ringers. UNLV’s current slogan is “We are different. We are daring. We are diverse.” These students epitomizes that slogan. It was nice to see people from different backgrounds join together for one common goal. It was also nice to pay it forward. Usually sending a monetary donation can be difficult, but I’m glad I got to use my photography skills to give back. Over the summer, I had the opportunity to meet and briefly […]
Athena and Darryl celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary with a vow renewal at The Plaza at Whitney Ranch. Along with their 8 children, extended family and friends also joined in on the festivities. There was a mixture of elegance and casual throughout the evening. The venue provided the elegance with its dramatic spiral staircase and classic reception hall. The food, especially the nacho bar, candy table, and taco stand, provided the casual and laid-back atmosphere.
Celebrating an 80th birthday is an important milestone, and Bill’s family made sure it was celebrated. The decorations were unique, especially a sign that listed important historical events and fun facts about 1936, the year Bill was born. The birthday celebration was complete with two birthday cakes, a picture slideshow, and heartfelt speeches by his four daughters, also known as “Bill’s Girls”.
What an epic wedding of a beautiful couple and the union of a new blended family! Their children played a huge part in their wedding. Both Gessica’s father and son gave her away. Each child pour their own colored sand to symbolize the union of their family. Gessica and Brian are also involved with their church, as their wedding was a huge community event within their congregation. And of course, no wedding is complete without Star Wars themed cake toppers and groomsmens’ socks, and a classic green Bel Air!
I was pleased that Monica asked me to be her photographer for her graduation party, who is a colleague of mine at UNLV. She graduated with a Masters in Hotel Administration, and celebrated it with her family and friends, including her favorite professors, UNLV administrators, co-workers, and sorority sisters. Congratulations Monica!
I was the second photographer for Liz Brown Photography. It was a fun and unique wedding, with the couple so happy and in love.
Preparing for this surprise party was a bit tough for Billie Jo’s husband, Bob. He had to sneak out and make phone calls to everyone involved to make it successful. When Billie Jo arrived, she was thoroughly surprised. Nacho Daddy was a great venue to host the party because it was easy to hide all the guests.
What a beautiful couple! Sara and Jesse tied the knot at the High Roller at the Linq, but before the ceremony, we did a mini-tour along The Strip. On the way back to the Linq (and after a fun shot with a couple “sexy lady cops”), we met up with various family members who have traveled from out-of-town, as well as Sara and Jesse’s adorable children. We wrapped up the mini-tour with family pictures at the Flamingo.
